Plain-English summary of how we use cookies. Last updated 31 October 2026.
What are cookies
Small text files a website stores on your browser to remember things between visits. This site uses very few of them — no cross-site tracking, no ad networks.
What we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID | Session cookie — keeps your basket, signed-in state, and CSRF token working | Session (cleared when you close the browser) | Essential |
_basket_csrf, _contact_csrf, _newsletter_csrf | Security tokens that stop other sites from submitting forms on your behalf | Session | Essential |
cc_preferences | Remembers what you chose in the cookie banner so we don't ask again | 365 days | Essential |
| (any analytics) | Loaded only if you enable analytics and only if the site is configured to use them. Currently: none — no analytics cookies are set by default. | Per provider | Optional |
The categories in plain English
- Essential — the shop literally can't work without these. Basket, session, form security. Always on; you can't turn them off without breaking the site for yourself.
- Optional — anything else. Right now that's just analytics (if enabled). Set only if you click Accept all. Never sold, never shared, never used for advertising.
What we don't do
- No cross-site tracking (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, etc)
- No behavioural advertising
- No selling your data to anyone
- No "necessary for personalisation" dark patterns
Third-party content
Where we ever embed third-party content (e.g. a map, a YouTube clip from a famous match), it loads only after you accept optional cookies. Until then you'll see a clearly-marked placeholder.
Your choice
Change your mind any time using the controls in the cookie banner — or run CC.reset() in your browser console. You can also delete cookies directly from your browser's Settings → Privacy screen; the essential ones will re-create when you next add something to your basket.
